OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE 2025 URS RUBBER DUCK REGATTA
The Rubber Duck Regatta is presented for the benefit of United Rehabilitation Services, a charitable organization under 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (the "Presenter"), located at 4710 Old Troy Pike, Dayton, Ohio, 45424. Any questions should be directed to the Chief Development Officer, Laura Lafakis, at (937) 853-5465.
Race Day Information
Ducks will be launched into the Great Miami River on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at approximately 4:30 pm. The racecourse will be established by United Rehabilitation Services. If for any reason beyond the control of the Presenter, such as weather conditions, the Presenter determines not to run the race, the Presenter will determine the winners of all prizes by raffle or random selection.
The racecourse will close approximately 30 minutes after the first duck has crossed the finish line. Any ducks finishing after that time will not be eligible for prizes. If the race is not completed within the time limit established by the Presenter, the Presenter reserves the right to terminate the race and determine the winners by raffle or random selection. Prizes will be awarded based on the order of finish of the ducks. Depending on weather conditions and other factors, the Presenter may use means other than the natural flow of the water to move the ducks across the finish point. The Presenter is not responsible for any actions taken by any spectator or anyone who is not an agent of the Presenter which alters the speed or finish order of the ducks.
Entry Requirements
The entry portion of each adoption paper must be filled out and delivered to the Presenter or an authorized representative of the Presenter or mailed to the Presenter at the address set forth in the first paragraph, or completed online, and actually be received by Presenter prior to the race to be eligible to win a prize. Entrants assume the risk of non-delivery of any entries to the Presenter or an authorized representative of the Presenter.
At least 20,000 Rubber Ducks will be entered into the race. Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries. A number will be attached to each duck which corresponds to the number on its adoption paper. Prizes will be awarded to the person whose name appears on the adoption paper corresponding to the first qualifying ducks to finish and be gathered in the duck trap. Prize winners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian when receiving their prize.
Duck Ownership and Race Integrity
All ducks entered into the Rubber Duck Regatta will be provided by the Presenter and will remain the property of the Presenter. No attempt to interfere with any ducks is permitted unless deemed necessary by the Presenter or an authorized representative of the Presenter. Any attempt to interfere with any ducks will result in disqualification from receiving any prizes.
